Clouds Gather Over City of Racine Election Procedures, Pollworkers

A Wisconsin Government Accountability Board official admits that poll workers in Racine did not follow the law when they allowed voters who registered on election day to obtain and cast ballots without signing the supplemental poll list.

That statement reinforced the one Haas gave the Maiver News Service earlier in the day when we reported on the errors. New Accountability Program Labels 98 Milwaukee Schools, 10 Madison Schools as “Focus” or “Priority” Schools in Need of Improvement

58 out of 1,183 qualifying public schools in Wisconsin earned the Priority label. Of these, 54 were from Milwaukee Public Schools. Early Voting Students Use Class Schedules to Prove Residency, Not Identity, at Milwaukee Polls

Vote Fraud Uncovered at Nursing Home?

“My grandpa can’t even tell you how old he is or what the date is,” said Johnny Koremenos, who is certain his grandpa did not request the forms he ultimately initialed.

Peter Koremenos’ application for Absentee Ballot was filled out on the same day he registered to vote, October 6, 2010. That form does list a witness on his application, Cathi Wright, who listed her address as the Linden Grove nursing home as well.

Driscoll: New Student Standards a Tough Step in the Right Direction

The current differences between “Proficient” on the WKCE and “Proficient” on the NAEP are significant. Moderator Alan Borsuk’s opening statements made it clear that Wisconsin’s scores will drop significantly thanks to the new metric and the lack of comprehensiveness of the old one.
