Sarcasm Alert: Students Struggle to Cope with Massive UW Budget Cuts

September 8, 2015

[Madison, Wisc…] Earlier this summer, Gov. Scott Walker signed the 2015-2017 state budget which cut a total of $250 million from the UW System. These cuts were decried as utterly draconian and devastating for the system — even though the sum amounts to 2.1% of the total system’s two-year budget.

Given these drastic measures, the MacIver Institute visited UW-Madison’s campus on the first day of school to check out how the draconian cuts have affected students.

Sarcasm alert: What we found there may shock you. This flagship campus has all but turned upside-down in the ensuing budget fight.
