Joint Finance Offers Two Omnibus Motions for DHS, WEDC, Other Agencies

MacIver News Service | May 21, 2015

[Madison, Wisc…] The legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) was schedule to meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday to discuss budget items surrounding the Department of Health Services (DHS), Medical Assistance (MA), Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), and others. However, the start time of the executive session was delayed until 4 p.m.

JFC will consider two omnibus motions during debate this afternoon, instead of taking up each issue one at a time.

The first motion (#494) relates to the Department of Financial Institutions, Department of Safety and Professional Services, WEDC and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority. A copy of the 11-page motion is available by clicking here.

The second motion (#495) relates to DHS and MA. A copy of the 8-page motion is available by clicking here.

The MacIver Institute will provide analysis of the two omnibus motions soon. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for instant updates on JFC’s actions.
