MacIver News Service – September 5, 2013

[Madison, Wisc…] Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) introduced multiple bills into the Senate aimed at curbing voter fraud recently. She says the problems that occurred during the June 2012 recall elections, specifically in Racine, were proof that something needed to be done about ballot integrity. Lazich’s hopes that by increasing ballot integrity, the state can ensure that all individuals that are legally allowed to vote can easily do so. However, she also wants measures in place that will provide law enforcement with the tools to find and prosecute those that commit voter fraud.
