Even Clergy Compare Capitol Arrests to Nazi Germany

MacIver News Service | July 26, 2013

[Madison, Wisc…] Two religious individuals referenced “Nazi Germany” and “a Stormtrooper” when talking about Capitol Police in the rotunda on Friday. Friar Philip Gerboc and Rev. Carter Dary both joined the Solidarity Singers to protest. Gerboc said that actions by police were “no less than fascism,” and Dary was intent on being arrested. A wedding received a permit on April 18 to use the rotunda space, but protesters continued and 31 “No Permit” citations were issued on Friday.
