MacIver Report (Oct. 16, 2025) – Campus Free Speech and Other Controversies

Bill and Courtney discuss leftism on campus, the sexual misconduct scandal that’s rocking Wisconsin’s public school system, planned parenthood’s decision to suspend abortions in Wisconsin, and much more.

Courtney shares her thoughts about this week’s “Viewpoint Diversity” panel discussion at UW-Madison and why the issue has been so mishandled by university officials. (Watch a full recap of the panel here).

Bill and Courtney discuss the Capital Times’ earthshattering expose on sexual misconduct investigations in Wisconsin’s public school system. About 200 teachers were investigated over just a five-year period. Instances of grooming in public schools is nothing new. Watch this MacIver video report about O’Keefe Middle School’s explicit poetry lessons from 2017. Warning: Not Safe for Work!

Courtney’s also been looking into Planned Parenthood’s surprise decision to suspend abortions in Wisconsin on Oct. 1st. There’s a lot of interesting details in the group’s annual reports you probably never knew about. She speculates on the political factors behind PP’s decision, while Bill analyzes its business strategy.

Finally, a big thanks to the Milwaukee County Republican Party for hosting the MacIver Institute last week. It was a great chance for Bill to give a brief overview of MacIver’s “It’s Not Working” project.
