Tiffany Focuses on Hong's Campaign
Tom Tiffany is not waiting for the primary to end to begin his campaign against Francesca Hong.
Tiffany, who is the Republican candidate in the race, spent the weekend blasting Hong on social media.
“Wisconsin will be the firewall that stops socialism from spreading across America. We believe in common sense: lower taxes, safer communities, secure borders, support for law enforcement, and the freedom to succeed," Tiffany wrote on X. "We reject big-government socialism."
Tiffany also joined the chorus of Republicans and conservatives who criticized Hong’s old tweets.
“The facts speak louder than campaign spin," Tiffany wrote about Hong's old posts that called to defund the police, abolish the US Senate, and get ICE out of Wisconsin. "This is who @FrancescaHongWI is: a card-carrying socialist committed to abolishing the police, the Senate, and prisons."
Hong now says she doesn’t fully support some of those old posts.
Tiffany was also very critical of Hong’s weekend campaign appearance with Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and far-Left streamer Hassan Piker.
"As @FrancescaHongWI campaigns with Ilhan Omar today, I introduced the OMAR Act to stop campaign cash from going to spouses. Ilhan Omar funneled nearly $3 million to her husband’s consulting firm. Politicians shouldn’t enrich their families through grifter schemes."
Hong campaigned with Omar and Piker in South Milwaukee. Omar has built a national reputation as both a member of The Squad, and for her anti-American comments.
Piker has said that America "deserved" 9/11, and he has repeatedly supported Hamas, and attacks against Israel.
Hong defended Piker and Omar’s help, saying “it would be a risk not to try to build the broadest coalition possible.”
Several polls say Hong has a commanding lead in the Democrat race for governor. Early voting has already begun, and Election Day is August 11.
