Media Advisory: MacIver Institute To Hold Press Conference With Elected Officials, Law Enforcement to Discuss Ensuring Election Integrity

MADISON -- The John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy has invited Congressmen Tom Tiffany, elected members of law enforcement, and other lawmakers to a press conference on Tuesday, Sept. 17 to highlight the state's election laws and emphasize the importance of only citizens voting.

America will be celebrating Constitution Day and National Citizenship Day on September 17, and this day presents the perfect opportunity to discuss the rights American citizens enjoy,” said Annette Olson, CEO of The MacIver Institute. The week of Sept. 16 is also National Only Citizens Vote Week.

The MacIver Institute and its partners have planned the press conference to educate all those who reside in America of the laws in place that ensure citizens' trust in the voting process for legal elections. The MacIver Institute has joined with the national Only Citizens Vote Coalition, a coalition of citizens dedicated to protecting election integrity, to preserve the safeguards that ensure only American citizens are eligible to vote in all American elections—local, state, and federal—and that proof of United States citizenship must be required when registering to vote.
