The City of New London’s $20 wheel tax generated $184,000 in the current budget, but that windfall wasn’t spent on road repairs. The budget spends only $18,000 on transportation related projects. So where did the money go? There’s nowhere for the money to hide in the city budget, so it appears to have been spent on other priorities – priorities other than roads.
