MacIver News Minute: Kooyenga Will Keep Pushing For A Low, Flat Income Tax

The author of last year’s proposal to put Wisconsin on the road to a flat income tax isn’t giving up. Rep. Dale Kooyenga plans to keep pushing to make his vision of a 3.95 percent flat tax, first introduced during the 2017-19 budget debate, a reality. The plan is similar to the MacIver Institute’s “Glide Path To A 3% Flat Tax” and promises to make Wisconsin even more competitive in the 21st century.
