The U.S. Supreme Court handed a big win to workers nationwide who don’t want to be part of a union. While a 1977 precedent allowed unions to skim paychecks for so-called “agency fees,” the court recently overturned that decision, meaning workers no longer have to help fund a union whose political activity they may disagree with.
