Caledonia Employees to Receive Raises Based on Merit

The Journal Times reports that the Caledonia village board has approved an improved merit system for determining wage increases.

The old system, which the board created in 2014, gave each individual who received a satisfactory job review the same pay raise. Now, employees will be able to receive three grades of pay raises. Satisfactory reviews earn a 1 percent pay raise, a very good review earns a 2 percent raise, and an outstanding review earns a 3 percent raise.
