[Madison, Wisc…] Gov. Scott Walker laid out his priorities for 2016 at an Independent Business Association of Wisconsin breakfast on Friday. He touted the state’s low unemployment rate and recent job figures, but he says in 2016 he’ll focus on workforce development, including helping people achieve independence from government, education in high-demand areas, and connecting employers with the talent they need to grow.

Another focus will be on reducing unemployment among veterans. Though the state has made great progress, Walker says his goal is for veterans’ unemployment to be zero.
