[Janesville, Wisc…] In most parts of the state, where there is a UW-College, a Wisconsin Technical College is right around the corner. In Marshfield, for example, the two schools are on the same block, and the city only has one high school.The casual observer might question why these smaller communities need two two-year institutions. Supporters of the two systems say they serve very different needs and populations.
MacIver’s Bill Osmulski spoke with officials at UW-Rock County and Blackhawk Technical College, both in Janesville, about how their institutions and student bodies differ.
