Assembly to Pass Walker’s Tax Cuts, Senate May Need a Compromise

[Madison, Wisc…] Legislative leaders from the Assembly and Senate discussed the state’s billion dollar surplus on Wednesday at the Wisconsin Counties Association Legislative Exchange. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Burlington) said the Assembly will pass Gov. Scott Walker’s tax cut plan next week, but Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) said they expect changes to the plan.
