[Madison, Wisc…] Citizen Action of Wisconsin held a press conference at the State Capitol on Tuesday with Rep. Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) to propose a bill that would allow counties to bypass the state and accept the Medicaid expansion funding. Currently 18 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties have passed resolutions to accept the federal funding, but the state rejected the expansion in the recent budget. During the press conference, some individuals spoke about their experiences with BadgerCare and what will happen under Governor Scott Walker’s reforms.
