Inexperienced Health Care Organization Launches after $56 Million Federal Loan

[Milwaukee, Wisc…] Community grass roots group turned health insurer, Common Ground, sent canvassers into Milwaukee’s Third Ward on Tuesday to spread awareness about their product and the Obamacare exchanges. Common Ground received a loan from the Federal Government specifically to help foster competition in the exchanges. However, you can’t get Common Ground’s insurance where the need for competition is greatest in Wisconsin. MNS’s Bill Osmulski was there to find out why Common Ground chose this part of the state to operate, where there is already plenty of competition from other insurers.
