Chart of the Day – Wisconsin Average ACT Scores

[Madison, Wisc…] Wisconsin continued its trend of high ACT scores in 2013, placing second in the country on the college readiness examination. While this strong showing lagged only behind Minnesota amongst states that have a majority of their students take the test, a closer look at the data reveals that Wisconsin’s achievement gap between student groups remains significant. With Wisconsin slated to switch to a high school testing suite operated by the ACT, these results will become more and more important in measuring how much the state’s students are learning before graduating.
