Wisconsin Democrats Question Costs of Obamacare Exchanges

[Madison, Wisc…] Democrats in the state legislature railed against the health insurance exchanges setup by the Affordable Care Act during budget debates, claiming that they would not be affordable. They originally said that the costs would be too high for those between 100 to 133 percent of the poverty level and that the state should accept the Medicaid expansion to cover these individuals. However, in their aruguments, they repeatedly claimed that even those making more than 150 percent of the poverty level would not be able to cover the costs. In the end, the budget rejected the Medicaid expansion, and the Governor is expected to sign it on Sunday.
