Joint Finance Passes Budget that Increases Tax Cut and K-12 School Funding

[Madison, Wisc…] The Joint Committee on Finance finalized their changes to Governor Scott Walker’s 2013-2015 state budget. JFC voted to increase Walker’s income tax cut to $648 million, expand school choice statewide in a limited scope, and increase K-12 school funding by $150 per pupil each year in their last session that ended early Wednesday morning. All modifications were summed up in a substitute amendment that will now head to the Assembly.
