Joint Committee on Finance to Start Voting on Biennial Budget

[Madison, Wisc…] This week begins the next step in the state’s budget process. With Governor Scott Walker’s budget reccomendations introduced, the Joint Committee on Finance will start voting on each approriation this Thursday. Once JFC has passed the bill, with their proposed amendments, it will head to the floors of the state Assembly and Senate. After passing through the legislature, it will head to the governor’s desk for vetoes and his signature. The full process is expected to last through the month of June.
