Waukesha Teachers Working With School Board to Determine Wage Increase

Teachers in Waukesha were offered a .5% raise for the current school year, but the local teachers’ union will wait before responding to the district’s offer for 2012-2013. Waukesha is working within the confines of Act 10 by limiting bargaining solely to compensation changes and applying changes to contracts no longer than one year long. The Education Association of Waukesha, the teachers’ union in the district, will review local financial figures before determining whether or not to accept or reject the School Board’s offer.
