Mine Shaft – How politics foiled efforts to bring jobs to Northern Wisconsin

The John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy presents this mini documentary about attempts to open an iron mine in Northern Wisconsin and efforts to modernize the state’s mine permitting process.

We spent several days in Hurley, Wisconsin and coducted interviews with several generations of residents to get their take on what went wrong.
