Lawmakers to Begin Discussions on Comprehensive School Accountability Bill

MacIver News Service | March 27, 2014

[Madison, Wisc…] Several legislators recently sat down with the MacIver Institute to discuss the school accountability bill that passed in the legislature last week and a more comprehensive bill to be crafted next year. The Senate and Assembly passed Senate Bill 286 which requires all publicly funded students to take the same state testing and be graded on the state’s School Report Cards. Legislators hope to build off of SB 286 in the future to create sanctions for failing schools and replicate successful ones.
