[Madison, Wisc…] The Assembly Committee on Education held a public hearing last week for Assembly Bill 682, which would create a scholarship for children with special needs to attend any public or private school in the state. The bill authors, Sen. Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa) and Rep. John Jagler (R-Watertown), spoke in support of the bill along with many parents that have children with special needs. One parent, Kristen Glaser, said that she has “conceded” that her daughter will not get a quality education unless this bill passes.
