Assembly Passes Mining Bill 58-39, Heads to Governor for Signature

[Madison, Wisc…] The Republican Mining Jobs Bill hit the Wisconsin Assembly floor on Thursday after passing the Senate last week, but Democrats did not put up much of a fight during the all day debate. Rather than attempt to block the bill, they seemed more concerned with going on the record with their predictions of what will happen to the law. The bill passed on a vote of 58-39 and now heads to Governor Scott Walker’s desk for his signature.
