Another Green Energy Company Goes Bust

[Windsor, Wisc…] Less than two years ago, the State of Wisconsin handed over $500 thousand to a Canadian company to open a solar panel recycling plant near De Forest. Last month, 5N Plus idled the plant after global prices for the metals salvaged at the recycling operation plummeted. Over a dozen people lost their jobs there. The now empty facility is a reminder of the risk taxpayers take in subsidizing the renewable energy industry, and how government cannot control all the market factors that impact business.
