From the Stevens Point Journal: District saves nearly $1.5 million on health insurance through new partnership

The Stevens Point Area Public School District will save almost $1.5 million in 2013-14 thanks to provisions in Act 10 that allow school districts to negotiate health care plans. Premiums were set to increase by 10 percent, but after negotiations with Security Health Plan, the district was able to provide a plan that only increases health care premiums by 1.5 percent.
