The left likes to cast conservatives who champion voter integrity efforts as pushers of a nefarious plot to strip voters of the franchise. But data from the state Elections Commission illustrates why regular clean-up of the voter rolls is so important. After the 2016 election, thousands of same-day registrations couldn’t be verified after postcards sent to their addresses bounced back. There’s plenty of evidence that more stringent standards are prudent and necessary to ensure the integrity of the one-person, one-vote concept.
