Republicans Call Extraordinary Session To Outmaneuver Activist Judges

Republican lawmakers were hardly shocked when a Dane County judge sided with former US Attorney General Eric Holder, and ruled that the state had to hold special elections for two open seats before the general election in November. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos said it’s exactly what he would expect from an activist judge in Dane County. Then another Dane County Judge issued a press release from the courthouse condemning Vos and demanding he apologize. Republicans called him out, pointing out judges are supposed to be above politics.
