Lawmakers have a chance to repeal large swaths of the state’s antiquated minimum markup law. A bill doing just that recently had a long-overdue hearing. But special interests have a lot to protect from the scourge of competition, and on this, they’re calling the shots. Looks like deep discounts will remain illegal in Wisconsin for the foreseeable future.
