MacIver’s Matt Kittle is joined by Christy Jo Fogarty, a dental therapist in Minnesota, which has permitted professionals like her to practice since 2009. Dental therapists have helped ease dental access issues in our neighbor to the west, and it could do the same in Wisconsin. Simply put, licensing dental therapists is a free market way to address problems with dental care access in Wisconsin, and a bill doing just that is moving through the Legislature.
