Finance 999 Wrap-Up Motion Exempts Legislature From Open Records Law

The Joint Finance Committee’s wrap-up motion, known as the 999 motion, is 24 pages long and includes 67 different proposals. Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) and Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette) are proposing changes to the charter school authorizer proposal, the state’s open records law, teacher licensure requirements, law enforcement officer-involved deaths procedure, the collective bargaining process and many more.
