[Madison, Wisc…] The John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy has named Nick Novak as Communications Director. Novak is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin and has held numerous positions in Wisconsin politics and government over the past few years, most recently with Governor Scott Walker and Eric Hovde’s U.S. Senate campaign.

“We are very excited to be adding Nick to the MacIver team,” said Brett Healy, MacIver Institute President. “He will play a vital role in extending our reach across Wisconsin as we continue the public policy research and investigative reporting that MacIver has become known for.”

Novak will be replacing former Communications Director Sean Lansing. Lansing was recently named Press Secretary for Governor Bobby Jindal (R-Louisiana).

“We are pleased for Sean and his new opportunity, and we look forward to building on the success that he had with our team.” said Healy.

The John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy is a Wisconsin-based think tank that promotes free markets, individual freedom, personal responsibility and limited government.
