FED CEO: Unemployment will Continue to Drop if…

[Madison, Wisc…] James Bullard, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, spoke to the Wisconsin Bankers Association about various economic topics on Thursday in Madison.

He pointed out that the average unemployment rate has been steadily dropping over the past few years and expects that trend to continue. However, during his presentation, he explained that a major factor in that is people dropping out of the workforce. He says as long as people don’t start reentering the workforce, the unemployment rate will continue to drop.
